Here's your local news at a glance for Tuesday, the 25th of November.
Good morning, Oxford.
🎓 Education
Miami University may remove more majors in 2025 due to Senate Bill 1 and low enrollment as the institution shifts resources to programs with higher demand—students already enrolled in affected programs can complete their degrees while departments, including the College of Creative Arts, review future offerings like music composition. The changes follow previous cuts in 2023 and adjustments to curriculum based on evolving student interests.
📰 Lifestyle
Fresh turmeric and ginger at the 7 Wonders Farm table in Oxford’s Farmers Market show distinct looks—turmeric features a bright orange interior and a sharper, mustard taste while ginger offers a milder flavor and easy peel.
Buyers are advised to use these roots quickly as they will darken and require peeling by midweek.
