- ➤ Local legend Harry Thobe was honored on Oct. 25 with a historical marker using a grant from the William G. Pomeroy Foundation—his work on local buildings and passion for Miami sports made him a cherished figure in Oxford—and officials announced an official dedication in April to celebrate his legacy. - ➤ Professor Rodney Coates has spent 35 years at Miami University helping students succeed—he created a summer boot camp for student-athletes and now directs Camp Excel for local middle schoolers—to pay forward the support he once received. Miami University
