  • October is National Co-op Month and MOON Co-op in Oxford ends a global food tour—starting in South Africa with Stellar Winery and continuing through co-ops in Peru, Massachusetts and Iowa—to show how workers, producers and distributors join forces to bring organic and Fair Trade foods to local customers.  Oxford Free Press

CULTURE NEWS

  • Per Bloland, a Miami associate professor, released his album Shadows of the Electric Moon on Sept. 5 after ten years of work. The album uses new technology (like the ElectroMagnetically Prepared Piano and MaxOrch software) to create unique sounds and features collaborations with several musicians.  Miami University

  • Miami University senior Olivia Patel spoke on a podcast about her study abroad trips to London and Washington DC and explained how they taught her to work hard and build strong connections—her courses in journalism, political science and classical studies have opened doors to internships and awards.
