- ➤ Oxford Skate Park was closed last month after assessments found it unsafe and misused — it had been a community staple for over 20 years — and city officials plan to convert the former tennis court into pickleball courts using city funds and grants. City manager Jessica Greene will propose a Community Development Block Grant to help build a new skate park at a different TRI location while some residents worry about losing a safe place to skate.
