  • Miami University biology professor Yoshi Tomoyasu organized the first Adaptive Nature Walk on Wheels along Oxford Area Trails, inviting local biologists and members of the disability community to explore scenic autumn woods together. The event offered a lively chance to learn about nature and science—participants shared their positive experiences after the walk.  Miami University

CULTURE NEWS

  • Local documentarian Lexi Jamieson Marsh made the film 'Player of the Week' that follows a youth hockey program at the Goggin Ice Center during the Learn to Play Hockey 2024 season—she premiered the film at Oxford Lane Library and it is now available online. Marsh is working on a new documentary that will be released as a three-part miniseries in 2026.  Oxford Free Press

  • At the inaugural International Leadership Conference on October 8th, students learned leadership lessons from global experts. Lt. Col. Bob Umholtz introduced a keynote featuring Lt. Gen. Richard M. Clark— a former superintendent at the Air Force Academy.  Miami University
