- ➤ A $100,000 endowment established the Anne E. Davenport Natural Areas Support Fund to help maintain Miami University’s nearly 1,000 acres of trails and green spaces—supporting the upkeep of Marcum Center woods, gardens and hiking trails for ongoing conservation research. Donor Anne Davenport set up the fund to ensure that the green spaces continue to benefit both the campus and the natural habitats. Miami University
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Thirteen Oxford locations will be featured in the National Solar Tour from today through Oct 6—offering open houses and drive-by views where local property owners display solar panels and renewable equipment. The event is organized by the Climate Action Steering Committee and Oxford Seniors Ecology Club to help residents learn about sustainable energy options. Oxford Free Press

- ➤ Today in Oxford, the Butler County Regional Transit Authority started new bus routes that overhaul old lines by adding stops like Level 27 and The Annex so students have easier commutes.
