EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Miami University's new Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence was approved by the Ohio Department of Higher Education on October 2nd and will prepare students for work in the growing field. Enrollment is expected to open soon to help meet industry needs. Miami University
- ➤ On Oct. 1, interim dean Moira Casey—of Miami University's College of Liberal Arts and Applied Science—gave an update at Hamilton’s State of the City event that focused on a new polytechnic education model and meeting workforce needs. Miami University
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Sept 8, the Oxford Township Board of Trustees met at Township Hall to approve financial reports and review police activity and energy savings data. Road Superintendent Johnny Smith said he will finish mowing and inspecting culverts later this month—install a new bench in the cemetery in the next two weeks, and the next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. on Oct 13 at Township Hall.
