  • The Oxford Museum Association is hosting its 60th annual Apple Butter Festival on Oct. 4-5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Hueston Woods State Park at the Doty Homestead—this festival offers apple butter making demos using 40 gallon copper kettles, live music, 75 vendor booths and pioneer life activities.  Oxford Free Press

  • Miami University has recently launched a new Fashion Institute that will bridge campus programs and the fashion industry—boosting local talent and supporting the Fashion and Design program as it marks its 20th anniversary.  Miami University
  • Anna Reier and Taylor Stumbaugh of the Miami Student attended the Excellence in Journalism Awards on Sept. 30 and their paper won Best Student Publication in the College/University category — the award came as part of multiple honors received at the ceremony.  Miami University
