- ➤ Eight runners took part in a weekly run that began at Enjoy Oxford and followed a set route over Main Street — across the Black Covered Bridge and through the Oxford Area Trails before finishing at Skipper’s Pub. - ➤ Miami alumnus Wil Haygood (’76), the Boadway Distinguished Scholar-in-Residence at Miami, will be featured in the PBS documentary 'Becoming Thurgood: America’s Social Architect' on Sept. 9 as he discusses Thurgood Marshall, the first Black Supreme Court justice. Miami University

- ➤ Roxanne Ornelas is running for city council and has spent many years protecting water while teaching geography at Miami University. She moved to Oxford (15 years ago) and plans to hold office hours to listen to residents and improve our watershed. Oxford Free Press
