COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ Inloes Park, maintained by the Des Fleurs Inloes Committee and the City of Oxford, received the Garden of the Month award on Aug. 14 for its colorful display of flowers—members celebrated by installing a yard sign to mark its first recognition. Oxford Free Press
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Miami University welcomed its first-year students earlier this week, with President Crawford helping them move in. A documentary featuring Miami scholar Wil Haygood and another on the university's Cradle of Coaches (with Scott Thompson and Jesy Herron) add fresh views to the campus story. Miami University
- ➤ Miami University will host three career fairs in three consecutive days starting September 9, with the Fall Career and Internship Fair in Millett Hall from 1-5 p.m., the STEM Fair on September 10, and the Sport Expo on September 11 at Goggin Ice Center. Students will meet employers like Medpace and Cardinal Health—they may get next-day interviews and extra help on resumes at other campus events. Miami University
