Miami University students in Stage Left shared how they prepared during tech week for the musical Anastasia, explaining busy rehearsals and teamwork behind the scenes + managing organized chaos before the show.
Their discussion showed the true effort of a student-run theater group.
Oxford’s Public Arts Commission voted on Aug.
11 to recommend a trompe l’oeil mural by Mathew Sharum for the Municipal Parking Garage at 6 W. Walnut St.—the design shows a waterfall, a red pick-up truck, and an optical illusion effect. City Council reviewed the design on Aug. 19 at 7:30 p.m. and the mural installation will be completed by the end of the year.

Miami University student Sam Eifert marched with independent drum corps this summer that are not tied to any school and that compete in regional and national events — blending music, athleticism and visual storytelling into each performance.
