- ➤ TOPSS will not run its cold shelter this winter due to issues with finances, staffing, and a flawed hotel model (one room was even damaged), and local churches with OASH are meeting to plan alternative shelter options in Oxford. - ➤ Miami University’s Wind Ensemble will perform on April 10 at Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor during the North Central Conference of the College Band Directors National Association. - ➤ At the City Council meeting on July 15, Oxford officials approved plans for a new TOPSS facility (5455 College Corner Pike), the purchase of 4.9 acres for the Oxford Area Trails System, and a reduction in parking meter fees for the August Red Brick Reunion Porsche Car Show. The TOPSS facility will break ground on July 30 at 1 p.m., and the land purchase will include a vegetative barrier along part of the trail to separate public and private areas. Oxford Free Press
