- ➤ At its July 1 meeting, Oxford City Council heard first readings for ordinances to rezone 2.71 acres at 6099 Fairfield Road to allow senior housing that would add at least 42 units by reusing the closed nursing center. The council also reviewed rezoning 2.1 acres at 5234 Hester Road and adopted an ordinance for trails easements—steps that aim to improve local housing and infrastructure—while planning its next meeting on July 15 at 7:30 p.m. Oxford Free Press
