- ➤ On June 19, the Talawanda Board of Education voted 4-1 to create a new part-time records specialist position to process over 240 public records requests since July 1 — the role offers up to 25 hours per week with pay from $25 to $35 an hour. The new hire will ease the heavy workload on Treasurer Shaunna Tafelski — whose duties have grown with complex requests—and the board may adjust the position if state budget changes create more financial strain.
