  • Uptown business owner Dana Study rebranded her storefront from Earth and Metal to Blessed Links Jewelry this June—she now focuses on permanent jewelry and ear piercings after taking full control of her business. She began selling her designs at popup events three years ago and now operates the store independently with set hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.  Oxford Free Press

  • Ryan Singh came to Oxford from New Delhi with two suitcases to start Miami University’s combined bachelor’s and master’s program in Business Analytics, facing new cultures and challenges head-on. He now leads the Business Student Advisory Council & will begin an internship in South Bend this summer & is growing his leadership skills.  Miami University

HEALTH NEWS

  • Miami University student Emily Martin ’25 worked with professor Jeffrey Hunger in the Hunger lab to study how weight discrimination leads to disordered eating, anxiety, and depression among higher-weight LGB individuals. The study found that within-community discrimination increased disordered eating as anxiety and depression also played a role (444 participants were surveyed), pointing to the need for improved mental health care for this group.  Miami University
