- ➤ Oxford Rotary Club celebrated its 60th anniversary on June 16 at the Knolls of Oxford — the event honored decades of service with speeches from longtime members, recognition from local leaders, and the installation of new officers to guide future projects. Oxford Free Press
- ➤ Early Fourth of July events in Oxford will begin with the Oxford Masonic Lodge's car and bike show on June 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — the show will lead into the Freedom Festival Parade at 5 p.m. starting at Kramer Elementary and ending at Uptown parks. Later celebrations will include the Freedom Festival at Oxford Community Park on July 3 from 5 to 10 p.m. with fireworks and a College Corner parade on July 4 starting at 3 p.m. that ends with fireworks at 10 p.m. Oxford Free Press

- ➤ Boxer Danny Gomez won the NCBA 125-pound title on April 12 after rematching with Jordan King, making him Miami University's first national champion since 2018.
