- ➤ Oxford police responded last week to two DUI calls—one on May 19 when officers cited a woman who refused a drug test and had a prior DUI, and another on May 25 when a driver caused a crash with a blood alcohol level of .176—and to theft incidents including the reported stealing of a dog, a burglary during a move, and vandalism of a basketball hoop. - ➤ On May 2, Miami University opened the SMART-FIT Lab to train students in smart manufacturing skills as part of a new hands-on curriculum in the College of Computing and Engineering—this modular lab, featuring molding, assembly, and packaging areas, will also host workshops and boost industry research.
