- ➤ Oxford Free Press, a local nonprofit news organization, will celebrate its website's one-year anniversary in two weeks and its print edition's one-year mark in six weeks after publishing over 600 online stories and distributing more than 60,000 copies. - ➤ Dr. Cricket Meehan of Miami University explained in a recent podcast how pandemic isolation increased mental health challenges for K-12 students and left them without key social support. Schools are now using a student assistance program and an AI tool for suicide prevention — efforts that also help support teachers and build school-wide resilience. Miami University
- ➤ Miami University has formed committees for 18 new MiamiTHRIVE initiatives—including the creation of a polytechnic campus—after President Gregory Crawford detailed the plans in a spring update at Hall Auditorium.
