EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Miami University graduates in Project Dragonfly could save money and reduce textile waste by borrowing and donating graduation regalia through the Regalia Reuse program, which began in December 2023 + has already loaned 92 items. Connie Malone said the program aims to collect 200 gowns to offer a sustainable alternative for future graduates. Oxford Free Press
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Oxford Township Board of Trustees met on May 12 to review financial reports, renew its electric aggregation agreement with Energy Alliances LLC, and sign a contract with Temple & Temple for culvert replacement on Springwood Drive. Road Superintendent Johnny Smith said crews will repair potholes, berms, and water main breaks in Springwood while the next meeting is set for June 9 at Township Hall — the meeting details come as the township continues its infrastructure updates.
