Miami University students finished projects on alley improvements, deer management, staff housing, and tenant rights in Oxford, and city staff are now reviewing the proposals (including waste management fixes for alleys) for possible implementation in the coming months.

Miami University seniors Grace Koo and Emily Wang earned 2025 Astronaut Scholarships, a major merit-based award for promising STEM researchers.

They are members of the Honors College and will use the award to support their research in fields like statistical genomics and cancer studies.

Solar panel installations began on May 19 at the Sharon and Graham Mitchell Sustainability Park in Oxford—located above the Western Geothermal well field and at the former site of Thomson Hall—and are expected to produce more than 2,100 MWh of electricity annually.
