  • Oxford resident Paul Allen, a retired Naval Commander, recounted how Navy service shaped his life and career, which included assignments from the USS Constellation to Miami University’s NROTC (spanning over 40 years). He remains active in local community events.  Oxford Free Press

  • The Berry Bar opened on April 11 at 20 E High St, offering healthy smoothies, berry bowls, and toasts for students (founded by Tyler Storer and Jackson Trester). They plan to extend hours and add a kiosk ordering system in the nearby fitness center.  The Miami Student

  • Miami University’s Blake Faulkner recently earned the 'Magnificent Manager' accolade from the Higher Learning Commission for leading peer review teams—one of 21 honors given to over 1,400 reviewers, marking 18 years of service improving college quality.  Miami University
  • Miami University alum Nicole Fleetwood was elected to join the American Academy of Arts and Sciences for 2026, honoring her work as an author and educator. She delivered Miami's 2023 commencement address and will join a group of distinguished leaders in humanities and arts.  Miami University
