  • Thirty years after a car accident on April 22 that took the lives of three Talawanda freshmen, friends and family in Oxford still remember the teens through heartfelt recollections and shared traditions. This May, the Taylor Metcalf Fund will host its third annual adult hockey tournament — an event that will support local student hockey players and honor Taylor's legacy.  Oxford Free Press

  • Miami and Oxford community members attended the Oxford Bee Festival held uptown on April 12 — the festival is part of a series of spring events that include student ensemble concerts, theater, and dance performances.  Miami University

  • FAM and the Ohio Student Association held a speak-out rally on April 17 at Shriver Center where about 50 people gathered to protest threats to academic freedom such as S.B. 1. Speakers stressed that education is a public good and urged officials to safeguard academic values — calling for clearer policies on budget and program changes.  The Miami Student
