  • The Oxford Kiwanis Club will host its 70th Pancake Day on Saturday, April 25, at Talawanda High School from 7 a.m. to noon. Guests get unlimited pancakes, toppings, and breakfast items for $9 + volunteers and local scouts help while the Miami University Glee Club performs.  Oxford Free Press

CULTURE NEWS

  • Oxford’s Bee Festival features food vendors and live music along High Street while a large bee mural draws visitors. The event also honors Rev. Lorenzo Langstroth (the father of American beekeeping) with local history at his historic Langstroth Cottage.  Oxford Free Press

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Beena Sukumaran, Miami University's dean for Engineering and Computing, was honored with a civil engineering award from her alma mater, Purdue University for 2025-2026. She said the surprise highlights her work to welcome diverse students and build innovative degree programs (including Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing).  Miami University
