Good morning, Oxford. Here's your local news at a glance for Wednesday, the 2nd of April.

COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Oxford EV drivers are finding that charging their vehicles at home requires a shift in how they think about fueling, as most rely on Level 1 and Level 2 chargers for enough range for local driving. Miami University and the city operate several public charging stations, and nearly $2 million in grants will help install fast chargers—including a free charger at Pearson Lot—at other key local sites.  Oxford Free Press

CULTURE NEWS

  • Amanda Bentley Brymer has led Silvoor Biological Sanctuary since 2013 and now writes a column that continues Robert A. Hefner’s restoration work in the small natural area set up in 1930. Her 'Silvoor Stories' column in the March 29 issue of the Oxford Free Press offers fresh insight into the sanctuary’s history—helping locals learn about its past efforts.  Miami University
