- ➤ Miami University received approval from the Ohio Department of Higher Education on March 12 for its new Bachelor of Science in Quantum Computing— the first Ohio degree focusing on software aspects— set to launch in August, following Senate and Board support. A January partnership with Cleveland Clinic established the Ohio Institute for Quantum Computing Research, Talent, and Commercialization in Cleveland. Miami University

- ➤ Oxford is finalizing its first Historic Preservation Plan while Miami University, after a Feb. 28 board vote, advances campus changes by demolishing some historic buildings and planning a new arena at Cook Field—city officials say the town and university must work together to balance growth with preservation.
