- ➤ Oxford's only cold weather shelter, the Oxford Winter House, will close on Feb. 28, leaving some guests unsure where to go next. The 13-bed shelter opened on Dec. 1 to offer warmth and services and may relocate next year. The Miami Student
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Miami University's Office of Strategic Analytics and Institutional Research (STAIR) is now part of the Office of the President to strengthen data use in academic planning and decision-making. The name change became official on Dec. 1 to support enhanced training and custom reporting. Miami University
- ➤ Miami University announced it will use the fourth floor of the CedarTech office building in Cleveland Innovation District as the hub for its Urban Bridges program. The space will provide offices for faculty and collaborative areas for students. Miami University
- ➤ Miami University will host its 32nd Undergraduate Research Forum on Friday, Apr. 24 at the Shriver Center. Undergraduate students will showcase research projects and creative work while registration remains open until Monday, Mar. 9. Miami University
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Miami University held its 11th annual Love.Honor.Care weekend (presented by Western and Southern Financial Group) on Feb. 20-21 featuring men's and women's basketball and hockey games. The event raised nearly $220,000 for cancer research and care and benefited Ride Cincinnati through a silent auction and a women's basketball game. Miami University
