EDUCATION NEWS

  • A Miami University survey shows 89% of respondents oppose replacing Cook Field with an arena and 69% said they are less likely to donate if the plan moves forward. The University Board of Trustees will consider the proposal on Feb. 26 and Feb. 27.  Oxford Free Press
  • Butler Tech will offer two new high school courses in electrical technology and a three-year teacher pathway starting in fall. Enrollment for the electrical course closed Jan. 31 while teacher pathway applications will close on March 15 — both programs aim to prepare local students for industry and higher education.  Oxford Free Press
