EDUCATION NEWS

  • Miami University plans to replace Cook Field with a new arena despite strong community opposition, as a survey and a petition with over 3,500+ signatures show most students would use the space less if it is moved. Officials may gather new opinions when the academic year begins.  The Miami Student
  • The Miami Student will celebrate its 200th anniversary from Feb. 27 to March 1 in Oxford. Events include a welcome party at Circle Bar, a Feb. 28 speaker series at Shriver Center’s Heritage Room, and an open house at Armstrong Student Center on March 1 (with 80 alumni and students).  Miami University

SPORTS NEWS

  • Coach Anthony Noreen is leading Miami University’s RedHawks into the national rankings with sold-out crowds and 14 wins (and counting) as they build on last season’s performance. The team is setting a strong standard on the ice.  Miami University
